The 2024 Koori Mail Indigenous Art Award received over 80 entries across the country with 25 finalists selected for the exhibition.
The Bonalbo Artists’ Alliance (BAA) Art Show at the Bonalbo Community Hall will run until the end of Febuary 2025.
BAA is open to all, and encourages creativity, social connections and the arts in Bonalbo and surrounds.
With assistance from Kyogle Council and Bonalbo Hall, BAA held six workshops in 2024. Modernism, Post Modernism and innovative painting and drawing techniques were the focus which resulted in the “Overviews Gala”. Views of Bonalbo based on drone photographs taken by John Tart were a feature.
Printmaking was also explored in the workshops. Lino block, mono printing and dry point etching, as well as many exciting paintings and a mixed media installations from our creatives were highlights of the summer Gala Art Show which will continue through to March 2025.
